Smith Cove (erstwhile called "Smith's Cove") occurs when water, defined as that a share of Seattle's Elliott Bay which is north of a line heading southeasterly from either the west prevent of Elliott Bay Marina in the northwest to the far northwest tip of Myrtle Edwards Park in the southeast. These are house to the Port of Seattle's Piers 9& 91 additionally to the marina. A cove was known as fallowing Dr. Henry Smith of Wooster, Ohio, who, in 1853, was one of the number one whites to settle in the area, called Interbay since 1894. A cove and its tide flats once stretched when far n when what is nowadays a Interbay Athletic Field. A tide flats have since been filled in & a locality is at present occupied per athletic field, a rail yards of the BNSF Railway, the Interbay Golf Center, and a Washington Army National Guard Armory.
